🎯 Description
Exoniks was formed under a goal of bridging realities, where virtual objects would be felt in the physical world. Many of us cannot operate a keyboard and a mouse to experience the metaverse to its fullest whether it be because of old age or a motor impairment such as a stroke patient. The IRL gadget utility is access to an exoskeleton which will primarily be aimed towards rehabilitation of stroke / muscular dysfunction patients, but can be used by everyone to experience virtual reality. Imagine feeling a virtual hug or a handshake, pushing against virtual doors and walking in virtual ocean waves with the alternating waves felt by you. This is our goal, to advance the metaverse experience.
This exoskeleton will be the culmination of a thesis project by Peplica in collaboration with PHDs with 15+ years of experience in the industry and with a wearable robotics lab at SSSA in Pisa, Italy. We invite you to embark on a sustaining journey with us and further the quest of immersion in the metaverse.
