🎯 Description
A city pop, 80’s Tokyo inspired NFT collection, NOREN plans to bridge the gap between entrenched art scenes here in Japan and fans overseas, while connecting hard-to-reach Japanese creators to the web3 world.
Noren are curtains that cover entrances to shops and restaurants in Japan, and they kind of obscure or separate the outside from those on the inside.
We found that the overall Japanese art scene was similar in many ways, in that connecting with well-known artists or niche communities was very difficult, especially from a non-Japanese perspective.
Likewise, onboarding these amazing artists to web3 was even more difficult due to a lack of familiarity, or even distrust. So, with NOREN we want to break that barrier between the art scene in Japan and the web3 world–while pulling back the curtain and allowing those on the outside, in.
