Poison Pill is an all-access membership as National Lampoon brings back the bold, renegade nature of the brand to comedy and media in the modern age. The digital collectible will be the first phase in our strategy to build a platform that gives the freedom and reach for the public and creators/comedians to share and express ideas through content.
Give creators a chance to sub-license National Lampoon Magazine covers and rework them in their own creative style. This limited art collection showcases how NL Studios will build in Web3 with creators in mind.

National Lampoon (“NL”) was founded by four alumni of the Harvard Lampoon. NL began as a humor magazine that ran from the 1970s - 1990s. With its absurdist, irreverent, satirical/subversive approach, NL pushed the boundaries of social norms and impacted pop culture ina meaningful way. From the letters to the editor, to the fake advertisements, the entire magazine was utilized as a canvas of energetic satirical expression.
The Writers Room was THE most well recognized incubator for comedy at the time, and perhaps of all time.
The magazine expanded into film, radio, live theater and other media. Most notable were: NL Radio Hour, Lemmings, and cult classic films like Animal House, Vacation and Van Wilder. The original Writers Room was at the crux of this success.
