This year has been quite a crucial one for the whole crypto industry. Many have failed, many have succeeded, many have left. Let’s summarize the outcomes for every sector 🙌
The graveyard
And yes, FTX is here right now - just the right place for it. However, all the victims are able to recover, so there is still hope.
What happened to FTX?
Due to FTX’s inability to find investors, Binance withdrew from a possible partnership that would have helped the company. According to recent estimates, the intricate network of over 130 firms from the FTX group may be liable for up to $50 billion in debt.
Tokens without a stable supply and shitcoins are simply dead - nothing could resurrect those, the bull run humbled everyone. Well, you get what you deserve.
Venture capitalists and greedy influencers are slowly taking their way to the afterlife and we aren’t even surprised.
The silver lining
People are finally waking up and seeing all the advantages of using crypto. Hence, governments get no other choice but to start the implementation of blockchain into everyday lives.
Bitcoin is now a legal payment method in multiple countries, Visa introduced USDT/USDC as a payment method, scalability has increased significantly and there is even more to come.
NFTs
Non-fungible tokens are no longer useless JPEGs. They evolved into a shell used for data and intellectual property. Anything can now be sold and bought, no matter if it is a synthetic asset, a digital product, a document - all safely and anonymously 🔐
L1
The most important event of the year is the Merge, no doubt. An operation that has been a huge kick for all the other nets and projects giving them a major boost. Cosmos, Avalanche, all the rollups have made much progress and showed noticeable growth. And as a bonus, fees have decreased 🥳
There have been hacker attacks and technical difficulties, but the segment continues developing despite all that successfully surviving the crypto winter.
DAOs
As the name suggests those organizations are autonomous and indeed, there isn’t a single thing that can mess up the development of this sector. Users are getting more and more control over projects each day. Blockchain voting, delegation, liquid democracy, finance control, forming social organizations and many more can now be controlled by DAOs.
